Who can take part
- You must have a confirmed diagnosis of AL amyloidosis, with deposits detected in an organ (not just the bone marrow).
- You must have signs of abnormal plasma cells in your blood or bone marrow, such as an abnormal protein or light chain ratio.
- Your disease must be measurable, meaning a specific blood test (free light chain difference) must be 50 mg/L or higher.
- You cannot have had any prior treatment for amyloidosis.
- You must have symptoms related to amyloidosis affecting at least one organ, such as the heart or kidneys.
- Your heart risk must be stage 1, 2, or 3a (and if stage 3b, you may be in the randomized portion only).
