Aspirin dose comparison after heart stent placement

Coronary Artery DiseaseAcute Coronary SyndromesChronic Coronary SyndromePercutaneous Coronary Intervention

Treatments studied

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study compares two different daily doses of aspirin (50 mg vs 100 mg) when taken with a standard blood thinner (P2Y12 inhibitor) after getting a heart stent. It aims to see if a lower aspirin dose works just as well with fewer side effects.

NCT06821191Recruiting· Phase 4
Safer blood thinner plan after heart stent

This trial is testing whether lowering the dose of your current blood thinner or switching to a different one (clopidogrel) is safer and works just as well after you've had a stent placed. It's designed for people who are already on two blood thinners and are doing well.

NCT07582835Recruiting· Phase 3
Long-term heart clot prevention after stent placement

This study tests whether taking a single blood-thinning medication (instead of two) after heart stent placement is safe and effective over the long term. If you've recovered well from a stent procedure, this trial may help determine the safest way to prevent future heart problems.

NCT05418556Recruiting· Phase 4
Comparing antiplatelet strategies after heart stent

This study compares two ways of choosing blood thinners after a heart stent procedure. It aims to see if using an imaging-guided strategy leads to better outcomes than usual care.

NCT07684742Not yet recruiting· Phase 4
Single blood thinner after stent placement for heart attack

This study looks at whether taking just one blood-thinning medicine (instead of two) after a stent procedure helps prevent future heart problems while lowering the risk of bleeding. It's for people who recently had a heart attack or unstable chest pain and had a stent placed.

Personalizing medicines to reduce bleeding after stent procedure

This trial studies ways to reduce bleeding in people after a stent procedure (PCI) who have been taking two anti-platelet medicines (aspirin plus prasugrel or ticagrelor) for a set amount of time. It may help find a safer plan for preventing blood clots while lowering bleeding risk.

NCT07195149Recruiting· Phase 3
Aspirin dose comparison after bypass surgery

This trial tests whether a lower dose of aspirin combined with another blood thinner (prasugrel) after bypass surgery is as safe and effective as a higher dose. It is for people with stable heart disease who are scheduled for bypass surgery and have not had a recent heart attack.
