This trial tests a new drug called imetelstat combined with two chemotherapy drugs (fludarabine and cytarabine) for children and teens with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), or juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) that has come back or not responded to treatment.
