Landiolol to prevent death in ventilated septic shock patients
This trial tests whether landiolol (a short-acting heart-rate–lowering medicine) can reduce deaths compared with standard care in people in septic shock who have a fast heart rate and strong heart pumping. It is meant for a very specific type of critically ill patient while they are on a breathing machine.

This Phase 3 trial tests whether landiolol (a short-acting heart-rate–lowering medicine) can improve blood circulation in adults with septic shock whose heart rate is too fast. Doctors will also check that the medication is safe in this critical-care setting.
