Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older
- Have no history of heart disease if you’re considered a “healthy” participant
- If you have dilated cardiomyopathy: you’ve had heart failure and your ejection fraction is under 40%
- If you have thickened left heart muscle: the wall thickness is over 1.2 cm
- If you have coronary artery disease: have a blockage over 50% or a positive stress test
- You must be able to safely have an MRI (no MRI safety contraindications)
