Who can take part
- Be older than 18 years
- Have non-complex congenital (since-birth) heart disease
- Have isolated heart valve disease (valve problem only)
- Do not have coronary artery disease (blocked heart blood vessels)
- No known allergy to statins, including simvastatin
- You should not have poor liver function or hepatitis; also, you cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
