Who can take part

  • You have limbal stem cell deficiency in one or both eyes
  • There is enough healthy tissue at the edge of your eye (limbus) so a small biopsy can be taken safely
  • Your eye must be healthy enough for the biopsy without likely harm to the donor eye
  • You are not pregnant
  • You are not breast-feeding
  • You have no known allergy to aprotinin (Trasylol) or sensitivity to bovine (cow) proteins
