Who can take part

  • You are age 22 to 65
  • You have a high cervical (high neck) spinal lesion/injury
  • You can give consent, speak and communicate in English, and follow study instructions
  • A doctor says you are cleared for surgery and you can travel up to 60 miles up to five days per week
  • You will have a caregiver who can check the surgical site daily and watch for behavior changes
