Who can take part
- You have a C4–C6 spinal cord injury (tetraplegia) that is not from a neurodegenerative disease or active cancer
- Your injury happened more than 1 year ago
- You are able to undergo surgery and have medical clearance from your doctor and the study team
- You can give informed consent and have stable support at home (including a caregiver who can monitor you during the study)
- You can travel to the study site up to 3 days per week for the duration of the study
- Your pain is well controlled without narcotic pain medicines
