Who can take part

  • You have one of these higher-risk situations: hereditary pancreatitis, Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, or a strong family history of pancreatic cancer.
  • Or you carry a known inherited gene change (for example BRCA1/2, PALB2, ATM, CDKN2A/p16, PRSS1/2, SPINK1, CFTR, or Lynch-related genes).
  • An endoscopy plan is already scheduled to examine your pancreas.
  • A doctor must be able to safely pass the ultrasound scope through your upper stomach area (no blocking strictures).
  • You must be able to give informed consent, and you should not be in poor overall health for procedures.
  • You must not be pregnant, and you should not have medical bleeding problems that would make endoscopy unsafe.
