Who can take part

  • You have pulmonary arterial hypertension (WHO group 1), or chronic blood clot–related pulmonary hypertension, or pulmonary arterial hypertension from another cause
  • Your pulmonary hypertension is not caused by low oxygen levels
  • Your pulmonary hypertension is not caused by problems on the left side of the heart
  • You can safely do the cardiopulmonary exercise test (a monitored breathing/exercise test)
  • You do not have recent repeated fainting episodes (syncope)
