Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old (male or female).
  • Your health/ability to do daily activities is fair to good (Karnofsky score over 60).
  • Your biopsy shows squamous cell cancer in the mouth area (such as tongue, gums, inner cheek, floor of mouth, palate, or behind the wisdom teeth).
  • Your cancer test shows high Cyclin D1 levels.
  • Your cancer stage is III or IVA and involves N2 lymph nodes, but there is no spread to distant organs (M0).
  • Blood tests and organ function are adequate (enough white blood cells, hemoglobin, platelets, and acceptable liver/kidney function).
