Who can take part

  • You were diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis by a spine surgeon
  • You must be older than 10 years when you enroll
  • Your scoliosis curve is between 11° and 40° on an X-ray measurement (Cobb angle)
  • You have a bone-growth stage of Risser 0 or 1 (from a standing spine X-ray)
  • Your MRI (if done) should not show abnormal spinal cord fluid (syrinx) over 4 mm or Chiari malformation
  • You can commit to returning for the required follow-up visits
