Who can take part
- You have a diagnosed cancer (malignancy)
- Your oxygen levels are low despite oxygen support (doctors use blood gas or oxygen saturation targets)
- A chest X-ray or CT scan in the last 3 months does not suggest the lung/pleural cancer is the main cause of the breathing problem
- A doctor believes you have at least a 6-month chance of living
- You do not have a “do not resuscitate” or “do not intubate” order in place at enrollment
