Who can take part
- Age 18 to 60 years old
- Body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 40 (obesity, not “morbid obesity” over 40)
- Have insulin resistance (a lab measure called HOMA2-IR higher than 2.2)
- Have high blood pressure (repeated readings above 130/85 or you take blood pressure medicine)
- Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
