Who can take part

  • Be under age 22 and have ALL, AML, or MDS needing an allogeneic stem cell transplant
  • Have no prior allogeneic stem cell transplant
  • No suitable fully matched sibling donor and no good alternative matching donor available soon
  • Have an HLA “KIR-favorable” haploidentical family donor available for donation
  • Be well enough to tolerate transplant tests (heart, lungs, kidneys, liver) based on study thresholds
  • Agree to genetic testing and the trial’s specific deep testing of leftover leukemia in ALL
