Who can take part
- You have one of these blood cancers: acute leukemia in remission, CML (not refractory blast crisis), CMML, MDS, or certain lymphoma types in CR or PR
- Your cancer must be in a defined response state (complete remission or partial response) as measured by standard tests—some patients may still have small traces called MRD/minimal residual disease
- You must be able to proceed with transplant health-wise: adults need good performance status (ECOG 0–1) or children need good activity score (Lansky at least 50)
- Heart and lung tests must be strong enough for transplant conditioning (for example, adequate pumping function and no need for oxygen, with acceptable lung measurements)
- You must have acceptable blood work and kidney/liver function (for example, limited bilirubin and liver enzyme levels; kidney function adequate)
- You need a related donor (haploidentical, half-matched) aged at least 12, weighing at least 40 kg, and meeting donor safety requirements
