Registry study of PTRA in difficult-to-control blood pressure

Who can take part

  • You have hard-to-control high blood pressure despite at least 3 medications (including a diuretic) at the right doses, and it stays high on 24-hour home-style blood pressure monitoring
  • Your 24-hour blood pressure average is high enough (systolic at or above 130 mmHg) after monitored medication doses
  • There are test results suggesting kidney artery narrowing that matters (ultrasound/renogram and an angiogram showing about 70% narrowing or more)
  • If you are also dealing with worsening kidney function or repeated fluid-related heart problems, this may be part of what qualifies you
  • You have either both kidney arteries narrowed, or one artery narrowed with only one functioning kidney (and not just a one-sided issue that’s being treated)
