Barostim therapy for resistant hypertension

Hypertension

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial is evaluating a device called BAROSTIM NEO, which sends electrical signals to help lower high blood pressure. It is for people who have recently had the device implanted and still have high blood pressure despite taking multiple medications.

NCT07239492Not yet recruiting
Brain stimulation for blood pressure control

This study tests a new, non-invasive way to stimulate the brain using special electrical currents to see if it can help control blood pressure. It may be an option for people with mild hypertension, hard-to-treat hypertension, or a condition called orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drops when standing).

NCT05719454Recruiting
Pacemaker-based nerve therapy for high blood pressure

This study tests a new pacemaker programming method (nerve therapy) to help lower blood pressure. It may be an option if you need a dual-chamber pacemaker and your blood pressure stays high despite medicine.

Renal nerve stimulation for hard-to-control high blood pressure

This trial tests whether stimulating nerves around the kidney can lower blood pressure in people whose high blood pressure stays uncontrolled despite treatment. It may help by improving how the kidneys and blood vessels regulate blood pressure.

Renal denervation for uncontrolled high blood pressure

This trial tests a procedure called renal denervation to lower blood pressure in people whose medication isn't enough. It uses a special catheter to calm nerves near the kidneys that may be overactive.

Brain stimulation for blood pressure control

This study tests whether direct electrical stimulation of brain areas that help control blood pressure can safely change blood pressure. It may help researchers understand how to treat blood pressure problems in the future.

Barostim therapy for heart failure with reduced pumping ability

This trial tests a device called Barostim NEO that is implanted in the neck to help treat heart failure. It may improve symptoms by stimulating nerves that help the heart work better.
