Who can take part
- You are an adult and can follow MRI instructions safely
- If you had a heart attack recently, you’ve had cardiology follow-up and no angina symptoms
- If you have had heart failure in the past year, a heart scan (echocardiogram or MRI) must show left ventricular hypertrophy
- You do not have metal in your body that isn’t MRI-safe (including many implants or certain devices)
- You do not have very recent stent placement, certain rhythm problems, or unstable blood pressure
- If you will receive contrast dye, your kidney function must be good enough (enough GFR) and stable
