Who can take part
- You’re 18 or older, and you can understand and sign consent
- Your lung cancer is stage I (early stage) and is suspicious on scans—biopsy confirmation is required later
- Your tumor is 5 cm or smaller on CT (scan measurements)
- Your breathing test results are strong enough for treatment (FEV1 and DLCO each at least 40% of predicted)
- You must be well enough to do the recommended procedure (Karnofsky score 70 or higher)
- Your cancer must not have spread to lymph nodes or distant sites on required tests (PET/CT plus node/lesion biopsy if needed)
