Who can take part
- You have differentiated thyroid cancer that cannot be cured with surgery/radiation, or you chose not to get curative treatment
- Your cancer has at least one measurable tumor spot larger than 10 mm and is growing on scans
- Your cancer failed iodine-131 treatment, or your doctor says you can’t safely receive iodine-131
- You are age 18 or older and can do daily activities fairly well (ECOG 0–2)
- You can wait a certain time from your last iodine-131 treatment (about 24 weeks, or 4 weeks if a post-treatment scan was negative)
- You must have adequate blood/organ function and be willing to do study visits, blood tests, and take the study medicines as directed
