Who can take part
- Be between 6 and 23 years old.
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of autoimmune liver disease: autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) or primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).
- Have not had a liver transplant before.
- Do not have chronic hepatitis B, or untreated hepatitis C infection.
- Be able to safely have an MRI scan (no pacemaker/metal implants that block MRI, and you can tolerate the scanner).
- Not be pregnant; and none of the listed other liver conditions (like Wilson’s disease, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, or glycogen storage disease) apply.
