Who can take part
- You have heart failure symptoms that fit a standard heart-failure severity level of class II or higher (or you were hospitalized for heart failure within the last 12 months).
- Your blood test shows elevated NT-proBNP (greater than 350 pg/mL).
- Your heart ultrasound/evaluation fits heart failure rules: pumping strength is usually 50% or higher (or 40% or lower if your type is different).
- Tests show signs your heart has trouble relaxing (diastolic dysfunction) as judged by heart imaging measurements (for example, LA size and E/e’).
- You do NOT have major excluded conditions such as severe heart valve disease, recent heart attack/acute coronary syndrome within 30 days, or chronic severe lung disease (COPD GOLD 3–4).
- You do NOT have excluded conditions like atrial fibrillation with very fast heart rate, very low hemoglobin (severe anemia), end-stage kidney failure needing dialysis, significant liver dysfunction, or an active/evolving cancer.
