Who can take part

  • You have documented spinal cord injury with functional damage unlikely to improve with usual care.
  • Your current medicines or surgeries (if you’re receiving any) are stable, and your doctors don’t expect them to reverse the spinal cord damage.
  • A study doctor believes you may improve with stem cell treatment and the risks to you are low.
  • You are 18 or older and able to understand and sign consent.
  • You can do neurologic exams (you can cooperate) and you can return for follow-up exams.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must not be pregnant at treatment and must avoid pregnancy for 3 months after treatment.
