Testing a new scan to study muscle breakdown in cirrhosis

Who can take part

  • You have a diagnosis of cirrhosis confirmed by biopsy and/or a mix of clinical findings, blood tests, and imaging scan results
  • Your liver severity score (Child-Pugh) is between A5 and B7
  • If you are in the control group, your blood tests (ALT and AST) are in the normal range
  • You do not have diabetes
  • You do not have cancer or kidney failure
