Study brain clot makeup and blood markers after stroke

Stroke, AcuteBiological Specimen BanksBiomarkersEtiologyPrognosis

Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study looks at the composition of a stroke blood clot and compares it with blood test results to understand treatment response, stroke cause, and prognosis. It may help doctors better predict outcomes and improve care after ischemic stroke.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You had an ischemic stroke (a blockage) caused by an artery occlusion
  • You were evaluated for and managed after a mechanical thrombectomy (or were considered for it)
  • You (or your family, if used in an emergency process) can give consent for the study

Inflammatory cells in blood and brain clots during stroke

This study looks at inflammatory cells in the blood and the blood clot removed from the brain during a stroke emergency. The goal is to better understand the role of inflammation in stroke, which could lead to improved treatments.

NCT05378490Recruiting
Study of stroke types and thrombolysis treatment

This study includes people who have had certain kinds of sudden brain blood-flow problems (like an ischemic stroke, bleeding in the brain, or a brief warning episode) or conditions that look similar. It looks at how treatment such as clot-busting medicine (thrombolysis) fits for these situations.

Lørenskog
NCT07043413Recruiting
Blood clot analysis after stroke treatment

This trial studies blood clots removed from stroke patients to understand them better. If you had a stroke caused by a clot and it was taken out with a special procedure, you may be able to join.

Blood Clot Study in Stroke Patients

This study looks at blood clots removed from the brain during a stroke procedure. Researchers want to understand what the clots are made of and how they relate to your blood tests, treatment success, and recovery.

NCT07754942Not yet recruiting
Blood markers and recovery after stroke clot removal

This study looks at whether certain blood tests taken after a mechanical thrombectomy (a procedure to remove a blood clot from the brain) can help predict how well a patient will recover from a stroke. The goal is to find early signs that might guide future treatment and improve outcomes.

Xiamen, Fujian
NCT05974111Recruiting
Blood and clotting tests after certain types of stroke

This hospital study looks at blood and clotting (coagulation) measurements in people who arrive with specific types of stroke or brain bleeding not caused by injury. It may help doctors better understand clotting changes after these events and improve care decisions.
