  • You had an ischemic or bleeding stroke about 3 months ago
  • Your upper-arm movement score is between 20 and 56 out of 60
  • Brain stimulation test (TMS) shows a measurable response in a specific hand muscle on the affected side
  • You have signs of one-sided neglect on a special virtual reality attention test
  • You can travel to the study lab at the specified VA/medical center

Brain Stimulation for Neglect After Right-Side Stroke

This study tests whether a type of brain stimulation called cTBS (applied to the cerebellum, a part of the brain involved in coordination) can help people recover from left-sided visual neglect—a condition where patients don't notice things on their left side after a right-hemisphere stroke.
