- You must be between 21 and 80 years old.
- You must have had a stroke and been functioning well before it.
- You must have at least one of these: arm weakness, leg weakness, neglect, or speaking difficulty.
- You cannot be pregnant, have a pacemaker, or have other causes of weakness.
- You cannot have uncontrolled blood pressure or diabetes, major depression, psychosis, or a terminal illness.
