Who can take part

  • You must be between 21 and 80 years old.
  • You must have had a stroke and been functioning well before it.
  • You must have at least one of these: arm weakness, leg weakness, neglect, or speaking difficulty.
  • You cannot be pregnant, have a pacemaker, or have other causes of weakness.
  • You cannot have uncontrolled blood pressure or diabetes, major depression, psychosis, or a terminal illness.
  • You cannot have claustrophobia or significant cognitive impairment.
