Who can take part
- You’re 18 or older and have recurrent (come-back) or hard-to-treat HER2-positive glioblastoma (or gliosarcoma).
- Your care team is planning relapse surgery (or a biopsy first for a special subgroup) and can delay surgery about 4 weeks if needed.
- You’ve had the usual glioblastoma treatments (radiation plus chemotherapy) or stopped early because of problems or intolerance; some patients may not need one chemo type if MGMT is not methylated.
- You must be well enough to tolerate treatment: life expectancy at least 3 months and good strength/ability (Karnofsky score 70 or higher).
- Your recent treatments fit the timing rules: you must not be on other cancer treatments for 2 weeks before starting; temozolomide may be allowed up to 48 hours before, and a small steroid dose (up to 4 mg/day) is allowed if medically needed.
- You must be able to have brain MRI scans and be free of major restrictions like pregnancy, certain infections, and certain immune or clotting problems.
