CAR-NK cells for recurrent glioblastoma and high-grade brain tumors
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer clinical trials.
This trial tests a new type of immune cell therapy called CAR-NK cells to treat glioblastoma or high-grade glioma that has come back or gotten worse after standard treatment. The cells are engineered to recognize and attack tumor cells in the brain.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- Age 18–75 years old
- Diagnosed with glioblastoma (grade 4) or high-grade glioma (grade 3–4) that has returned or worsened after prior treatment
- Tumor must show specific protein markers (IL13Rα2, EGFR, EGFRvIII, or B7-H3) at certain levels
- Good enough overall health (Karnofsky score ≥60, meaning you can do light activities)
- Ability to have brain MRI scans with contrast dye and a small catheter placed in the brain tumor area
- No uncontrolled infections, active HIV with high viral load, or uncontrolled hepatitis B or C

This trial tests a new treatment using engineered immune cells (CAR-NK cells) that target two markers found on glioblastoma tumors. The treatment is given directly into the brain to fight tumors that have come back after standard therapy.
This trial tests engineered immune cells (called NK cells) that are designed to fight glioblastoma, a deadly brain cancer. The cells are injected directly into the tumor and may help patients whose cancer has come back after standard treatment.
This early-phase trial studies a personalized immune-cell treatment (CAR-T) for glioblastoma that has come back. It aims to shrink or control the regrowing brain tumor by using your own immune cells after processing them in a lab.
This trial tests a new treatment using your own immune cells that are genetically modified to find and attack brain tumor cells. It is for people with a type of brain cancer that has come back after standard therapy.
This trial tests a new type of immune cell therapy (CAR-NK cells) that targets specific proteins on breast cancer cells. It's for people with advanced HER2-positive or triple-negative breast cancer who have tried other treatments or can't take them.
This trial tests whether specially engineered NK cells can find and attack your type of cancer. It is for people with advanced solid tumors that haven't responded to standard treatments.
