Who can take part

  • You have a disease (like cancer or a blood disorder) that a stem cell transplant might help treat.
  • You do not have a healthy sibling who is a perfect tissue (HLA) match.
  • You have either a half-matched family donor (like a parent or child) OR a closely matched unrelated donor from a registry.
  • The donor must be healthy enough to receive a medicine that boosts stem cells and have those cells collected from their blood.
  • You must be healthy enough for a transplant (good organ function, no serious infections, and not pregnant if you could become pregnant).
  • You cannot have an allergy to mouse proteins or iron dextran.
