Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have a bileaflet mechanical heart valve in your aortic valve area placed at least 3 months ago
  • You (or your legal decision-maker) can sign consent to join the study
  • You do not have any additional mechanical heart valve implanted in any location
  • Your target INR plan will not go below 2.0
  • You are not pregnant and do not expect to become pregnant during the study
