Who can take part

  • You are fully awake and alert (Glasgow Coma Scale score 15).
  • Your health status for anesthesia is in the mild-to-moderate range (ASA 1 to 3).
  • Your planned spinal surgery will take less than 3 hours.
  • Your heart rhythm is normal (sinus rhythm).
  • You are not allergic to propofol, a common anesthesia medicine.
