Who can take part
- If you join as a family: at least one parent, child, or sibling has type 1 diabetes
- The person with type 1 diabetes in the family was diagnosed before age 39
- You (or your child) must be at least 2 years old to participate
- Your family must have type 1 diabetes history (not only type 2, MODY, or LADA)
- If joining as a control (non-family): you and your family have no type 1 diabetes and no autoimmune disease
