Understanding Genetic Risk in Recently Diagnosed Diabetes

  • Age between 14 and 50 years old
  • Diabetes type is unclear and needs further evaluation
  • No severe infections, fever, surgery, or diabetic emergencies right now
  • No history of gestational diabetes, monogenic diabetes, or cystic fibrosis
  • Not currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or on long-term hormone or immunosuppressant medications
