Who can take part
- You have a heart artery that has been fully blocked for more than 3 months with no forward blood flow
- Your doctor believes you can safely undergo a catheter-based procedure to open the blockage (CTO PCI)
- Your baseline heart scans show enough “weakness from low blood flow” (ischemia threshold) in the blocked-artery area
- You can have MRI and SPECT scans, and you agree to a follow-up SPECT-CT scan at 6 months
- You must be 18 or older and able to understand the study and sign consent
