Who can take part

  • You have prostate cancer confirmed on biopsy, specifically adenocarcinoma (not small cell or neuroendocrine).
  • Your cancer has not spread to other organs, and your surgeon says you are a candidate for prostate surgery.
  • You have high-risk prostate cancer (intermediate-risk may be allowed later after safety checks).
  • You have not had any prior medicines or radiation for prostate cancer, other than allowed “washout” from 5-alpha-reductase drugs.
  • You can provide stored or new tumor tissue for study testing (tumor samples must be usable for lab analyses).
  • Your overall health tests are adequate (blood counts, liver/kidney numbers, and heart/lung status), and you can follow study visits.
