- A specialist has diagnosed you with essential tremor
- Your tremor causes major problems in daily life
- Your tremor has been going on for more than 5 years
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- Beta-blocker medicine either didn’t help enough or you couldn’t tolerate it
- You do not have significant memory or thinking problems
