Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 90 years old
  • Your stroke happened more than 6 months ago
  • Your affected hand is severely weak (very limited finger/thumb lift), and you can’t do the usual constraint therapy hand test
  • You can follow 3-step instructions and remember 2 out of 3 items after 3 minutes
  • Your shoulder and elbow can move enough to place the weak hand on your lap for training, and your skin on that arm is intact
  • You can hear and respond to the device cues, and you can put on and use the stimulator (or a caregiver can help)
