Who can take part
- You had a stroke caused by a blocked or burst blood vessel, confirmed by a brain scan.
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your stroke happened more than three months ago and you still have weakness on one side of your body.
- You can understand and follow instructions (score of 24 or higher on a memory and thinking test).
- You can straighten your fingers and wrist a little (10 degrees at the finger joints and 20 degrees at the wrist).
- Your arm and hand function is in the moderate to mild range (based on a standard arm test).
- You are not in any other research study or treatment trial at the same time.
