Who can take part

  • You must be between 21 and 60 years old.
  • You need to have type 2 diabetes with a recent A1C of 8.5% or less.
  • You cannot be taking insulin.
  • You should not have any major heart, lung, liver, kidney, or blood vessel disease.
  • You must be willing to follow a stable medication plan for at least 4 months.
  • You cannot be a current smoker or have smoked in the last 6 months.
