Who can take part

  • You have severe aortic valve narrowing based on heart scan measurements (valve area, blood speed, and heart-team review)
  • Your symptoms are considered absent (“asymptomatic”) by a cardiology specialist
  • You are considered a candidate for valve replacement using either catheter (TAVR) or surgery (AVR)
  • Your heart scan or blood test shows early strain or stress signs (such as higher filling pressure, weaker heart squeeze, or abnormal lab results)
  • You are 18 to 85 years old and can sign informed consent
  • You do NOT have certain exclusions like weak pumping (low LVEF), very severe narrowing, major other valve disease, past valve surgery, kidney failure, dementia, possible pregnancy, or a type of narrowing outside the valve
