Who can take part
- You have metastatic breast cancer with a harmful (deleterious) BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation found in blood tumor DNA (not just a “germline” mutation).
- You do not have a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation in your germline (inherited) DNA.
- Your cancer subtype must be triple-negative ER/PR negative and HER2 negative, or hormone-receptor positive and HER2 negative—and it must have progressed after approved hormone or chemo treatment (as described).
- You must have at least 2 weeks since your last breast cancer treatment and be mostly recovered (generally side effects back to mild or baseline).
- You cannot have had a PARP inhibitor before, and you cannot start the study within 4 weeks of any other investigational drug.
- Blood counts, liver, and kidney tests must meet safety levels, and you must be able to use effective birth control (or not be able to become pregnant).
