Who can take part
- You are scheduled for an ERCP (a camera test of the bile duct and upper gut).
- Your case involves suspected or confirmed bile duct blockage from stones, or narrowing (benign or cancer-related).
- You have not had an ERCP before.
- You have normal stomach/duodenum anatomy (no altered setup from prior stomach/duodenal surgery).
- No signs or diagnosis of cancer at the ampulla or nearby areas, and no type 1 or type 2 periampullary diverticula.
- You are not pregnant, and your blood clotting test (INR) is 1.5 or lower.
