Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your neck condition is “degenerative” (wear-and-tear), not from an injury, and involves multiple levels (multi-level) in the lower neck/upper chest area.
- You are having surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the Department of Neurological Surgery.
- You have no recent (within 3 years) or current spinal tumor or spinal infection.
- You are not pregnant and do not plan pregnancy in the next 24 months.
- You are not taking certain medicines that could slow bone or tissue healing (like high-dose steroids or immune-suppressing drugs), unless the study doctor says it’s okay.
