Who can take part

  • Be 18 to 75 years old
  • Have a recent spinal cord injury and be able to start the study drug within 48 hours
  • Have an “incomplete” spinal cord injury on the first exam (not fully complete)
  • Not be on a ventilator (breathing support by ventilator disqualifies you)
  • Have the injury level in specific spine areas (from C5 to C8, T1 to T12, L1 to L5, or S1 to S5)
  • Be medically able to do the study tests and follow the protocol, including pregnancy/birth control rules
