Who can take part
- You’re between 18 and 75 years old when you enter the study
- Your prostate cancer has not spread to distant sites (non-metastatic) and was newly diagnosed (not treated yet)
- Your cancer is “locally advanced” (for example, it may extend outside the prostate but with no distant spread)
- You are well enough to do either treatment: limited symptoms (ECOG 0–2) and generally able to tolerate treatment (WHO 0–1, ASA I–III)
- Your kidneys and liver blood tests are not severely abnormal
- You can sign consent and agree not to join another treatment study at the same time
