Who can take part
- Be willing to say what ethnic group you identify with (for example, Caucasian, Asian, or Afro-Caribbean).
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of giant cell arteritis (GCA) or polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), or your doctor thinks one of these is the most likely cause of your symptoms.
- If you’re under 50, you must have biopsy-proven GCA and a very typical (classical) GCA presentation.
- Be able and willing to give informed consent (understand the study and agree to join).
- You must not be unable or unwilling to provide fully informed consent. (If you can’t consent, you can’t join.)
