Test if FreeO2 helps keep oxygen levels in range

Who can take part

  • Be 18 or older
  • If you have AECOPD: have high carbon dioxide levels and low blood pH during this hospital stay
  • Need oxygen support because your oxygen level is low (for example, SpO2 under 90% on room air) or you are on limited oxygen through a nasal cannula or face oxygen
  • Be able to use noninvasive breathing support (NIV/CPAP) instead of needing an immediate breathing tube
  • If you are having bariatric surgery: use CPAP before surgery for sleep apnea (and you may also have obesity-related low breathing)
